Hydraulic Cylinder Repair

Johnstown Hydraulics, Inc. offers comprehensive solutions for hydraulic cylinder repair, starting with a complete tear down and evaluation of the damaged components. Remanufactured units hold a one year warranty. Once assembly is complete all units undergo testing. Units are plugged, primed, and painted for delivery.

About the repair process:

During this process, technicians meticulously inspect the cylinder bore for dings, scores, and cracks, measured to be within specification. A light hone is performed to ensure a smooth and precise surface.

JHI offers in-house machining capabilities, if a new rod is necessary. Rods with minimal scores will be sent for re-chroming back to spec.

All eyes/clevises/porting is inspected for ware and will be machined or replaced if necessary.

Items quoted as a complete remanufactured unit hold a one year warranty. Units can also be resealed, however, no warranty applies.

All units undergo a test prior to delivery. The test stand is equipped with a 100 HP Electric Bi-Rotational Motor, filtration, 6000 PSI/100 GPM capabilities. JHI can test all open or closed loop pumps, valves, and cylinders.
